View of the big gun from the top of the cliff.  The gun is in it's lowered position ready for loading.  We did not get any pictures of the gun in the raised  position, because by that time, we were about 10 miles distant, straight out from the muzzle of the gun!

A couple of 'visiting scientists' that Ron Firth and I picked up in the hotel restaurant at breakfast that morning.  The lady in the white hat was from Florida, and the lady in the red & blue hat was from Egypt.  She was very worried, because this was at the height of what eventually became known as the '6-day war' between Isreal and Egypt, and she had not heard from her parents.  (This was before cell phones, internet etc.)  This puts the date of this picture (and the Big Gun Project) between June 5th and June 11th 1967.
